Our Mission

Summit County Stand Down welcomes all Veterans and connects them with benefits, housing resources, and supportive services. We bring nonprofit organizations, government agencies, employers, and volunteers together so Veterans can access practical help, learn about available programs, and take steps toward greater stability. Services are provided at no cost to attendees.

Who We Serve

All Veterans are welcome. Whether a Veteran is seeking housing resources, help navigating benefits, health and wellness services, employment support, or simply a connection to community resources, the Stand Down offers a place to learn about available assistance.

How We Serve

We bring community partners together in one setting to make it easier for Veterans to learn about and connect with available resources. Depending on the event, these may include housing and benefits assistance, VA health care, employment and training support, mental health services, clothing and hygiene items, meals, and other community services.

Our Commitment

We welcome Veterans with respect, recognize their service, and help connect them with the resources they have earned. Services are provided at no cost to attendees.
